I lose myself
in the white.
Life
from
lifelessness.
I have
created
my own
world
of serenity…
life
from
lifelessness
emerges from
within the white…
I lose myself
in the white.
Life
from
lifelessness.
I have
created
my own
world
of serenity…
life
from
lifelessness
emerges from
within the white…
Read a most excellent poem today and would like to share it with you, as I felt it was more than appropriate:
“Many Red Devils” by Stephen Crane
Many red devils ran from my heart
And out upon the page.
They were so tiny
The pen could mash them.
And many struggled in the ink.
It was strange
To write in this red muck
Of things from my heart.
~~~So here’s my question for all you brave people out there: I’ve written of my “devil’s”…no secrets here…what little “devil’s” ooze from your heart? What crimson muck dribbles from your soul? We all have them…come on now, tell the truth and shame the devil.
Gravel cracks underfoot
as the path twists ahead
sap is being strangled
from the highest twigs
light yellows come into view.
My heart is broken, knowing that
life will end for them. A beautifully
drifting, falling end.
As I walk on, finally
coming to the stunning
rocky ledge…
a phrase pops into my head:
“suffer the little children”
and I giggle,
wondering if whoever
wrote that verse into the
Bible realized:
children eventually
become adults.
